Reasonable Doubt

*America doesn't make witnesses do this in court anymore, but we used to. This meme is now horribly out of date. That said, I believe "so help me God" is still used and Presidents almost always swear in using the bible.

  1. I've always thought that was so weird, anyway, since in that very book it says never to do that.

"Above all, my brothers and sisters, do not swear--not by heaven or by earth or by anything else. All you need to say is a simple "Yes" or "No." Otherwise you will be condemned." James 5:12

    1. People always do this, for example they call Homosexuality a sin, when it's never condemned in Law(http://savedbychrist94.blogspot.com/2013/04/homosexuality-is-not-sin-part-1.html)

  2. Yeah, what D'Ma said! :-) I've gotten called in for jury duty several times, and I was just waiting for the opportunity to use some Bible verses to get out of that swearing, but I never got that far in the jury selection process.

  3. When I go to court I swear on my autographed copy of God is Not Great.

  4. Good point. I think I'll pretend I came up with it first.

  5. But then that would mean God does not exist. And we all know that’s not true ;) Great Meme first time I have seen it, so thank you.

  6. Actually The Bible would hold up in Court, when all you need in court is about 2 witnesses to prove somebody was the killer, than The Bible is beyond any witness ever used in court history,

Approximately 66 Books, from approx 40 different witnesses makes it valid in court of law, add that to the fact that theses accounts are hundreds, years apart with minor interpolation, this book is the most credible book/account of witnesses in the history of the justice system.

    1. Not sure where you got this: "when all you need in court is about 2 witnesses to prove somebody was the killer."

There are a lot of stories throughout history about vampires too, some written in the first person. Do you believe those?

    2. Why use a red herring and change the subject? we are talking about Court of Law, in Court all that's needed is about 2 witnesses, these witnesses prove beyond their mouth that what they said is true and witnessed,

How? for example All Naturalistic Theories for Empty Tomb are impossible with the historical facts.

Vampire testimonies are simply assertions without proven testimony, The Resurrection is an irrefutable testimony, which there's no way around(as all possible naturalistic theories are impossible, leaving us with Resurrection) and Shroud of Turin.

    3. Sorry dude, but the Shroud of Turin is not old enough to be the authentic shroud of Christ.

"The Shroud of Turin, a linen cloth commonly associated with the crucifixion and burial of Jesus Christ, has undergone numerous scientific tests, the most notable of which is radiocarbon dating, in an attempt to determine the relic's authenticity. In 1988, scientists at three separate laboratories dated samples from the Shroud to a range of 1260–1390CE, which coincides with the first appearance of the shroud in France in the 1350s"
