Hat tip to Hausdorff for actually reading the damn thing.

  2. When people like Michele Bachmann (and numerous other fundies) claim that we're living in the end times, it's nice to remember that believers have been making the same claim for two millenia. Heh heh heh!

    1. For young earth creationists, most of existence is probably "end times."

  3. Yup. It's a failed prophesy and so many Christians don't realize it.

  4. Revelation 22:7, 10, 18 & 19 says: Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book. 22:10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

    1. So how has this proved that the prophecy of Jesus was true? All you have done is quote the bible with no relevance whatsoever.

    2. 1Corinthians 2:14 says: But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

    3. And again with Bible verse, what about stoning of people having sex lets do that.
"If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her; Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city." Deuteronomy 22:23-24

Answer: Exodus 20:14 says: Thou shalt not commit adultery.

    6. So stoning is an approved method to deal with adulterers? Wow, me thinks you need a psychiatrist.

    7. The Sanhedrins were the law keepers and the justice system at that time. They were the priests who wanted Jesus Crucified. They were successful. When discussing or commenting on things of such a nature, let the Bible explain itself. Idle murmerings serve no purpose when dealing with Holy Ground. John 8:47 He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.
      God Bless.

  5. 2 Peter 1:20 says: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. This also pertains to "well that's not how I read it". Secular Christians love to "claim the failings of Christ and prophecy". I suggest that you and others [with respect] "let the Bible interpret itself" i.e. compare "Scripture with Scripture". [Download e-Sword software to help you in this]. There are many links on my site that may be of help to all who visit. If you are a non believer in the Bible, then viewing this information will be of no problem. If you are open minded then you may benefit from at least reading. The Holy Ghost will do his work within you. So, in short, you have nothing to lose. God Bless.
